Every February we are surrounded by hearts – adorable red cutouts covering every spare inch of commercial wall space reminding everyone that Valentine’s Day has arrived. This year, the Team at Rip Media Group would like to raise awareness for an entirely different element of the heart – Congenital Heart Defect Awareness Week. From February 7th through the 14th, CHD Awareness Week kicks off nationally to bring light on the various types of congenital heart defects, as well as the countless ways you could do your part to help raise awareness.
When a heart defect is specifically labeled as congenital, it means that the abnormality began while still at the fetus stage in the womb. It’s estimated that nearly one in a hundred children are affected with Congenital Heart Disease, which can often lead to other serious conditions such as pulmonary hypertension, arrhythmia, and even heart failure.
Rip Media Group encourages everyone to get out there and participate whichever way you can. Perhaps it means donating your time, money or both. This is an extremely worthy cause which deserves our attention and action. Below are ways you can help out!
