Animation vs Live Action: Animation Won

We had an amazing time working with iTrade Network creating a live action…then animation video. 

Let’s start at the beginning.

iTrade,  a leader in perishable supply chain management softwareneeded a video produced to connect with their customers.  One that can tell a story morning, noon, and night, without a sales person being involved.  Capturing website traffic and creating relationships on the website is paramount.  

Our team proposed focusing on one farm, and how change takes place from generation to generation.   By telling the story in this way, we can relate to the thousands of customers, suppliers, and partners the trust, work with, and depend on in the ecosystem.

The plan was to film on site in Central California, where a tremendous amount of farming exist.  Then Covid shelter-in-place started.

We collaborated with their marketing leaders and and we all decided that Rip Media could animate the two-minute explainer video instead, and fill in all the gaps that might have been missed with a traditional animation. 

We wrote a great story, used 2D, 3D, created warm and relatable characters, as well as multiple voice over artists to bring this ‘home’.
