Welcome to another Video Marketing Minute. Andy Glickman along with Maury Rogow, CEO and Founder of Rip Media Group. Maury, today we’re going basic and simple. How do I know I need video marketing?

Simply put, if you want your business to grow.  I’m not being facetious or exaggerating. If you want your business to grow today, you have to be using video to tell your story. Here’s why:

  • People are not going to pick up the phone and talk to your sales people like they did 10 years ago. They’re not going to read volumes of information and white papers right off the bat. 
  • You’ve got to catch people with video, whether it’s showing that you’re the influencer in your marketplace or you have thought leadership or put great ads out there or you’re catching people with personality and emotion. That’s the best way to do it. 
  • And there’s a path that people are going to go down, which is called the customer journey. 
  • First, they contact you, engage with you, give some contact information to you, then nurture, educate, and then they purchase.  That’s the path they’re going to go down. 

You should be feeding them everywhere along that journey with video so they can easily understand who you are, your value, why they should purchase from you and make it easy for folks. 

That’s really the key today. Make it easy and simple.

How do you know you need video marketing? Well, if you want your business to grow. And I’m not being facetious, I’m not exaggerating. If you want your business to grow today, you have to be using video to tell your story. People are not going to pick up the phone and talk to your sales people like they did ten years ago. They’re not going to read, you know, volumes of information and white papers right off the bat. You’ve got to catch people with video.
