Some of our most amazing videos are the ones we do for charitable organizations because of the emotional pull behind them. We had the opportunity to work with Imagine LA, a non-profit which helps families get back on their feet. Imagine LA is a non-profit organization that helps homeless families in Los Angeles restart their lives through training and mentorship. They have an amazing success rate and receive support from many foundations and celebrities alike. They heard of Rip Media’s work through a consultant. They needed a compelling video for their annual fundraiser (which can raise a majority of their funding), as well as for emails, presentations, and their website. The internal goal was to display “ending generational-poverty” without creating another ‘talking-head’ video.
Rip Media Group’s creative team decided to propose a new and innovative approach to help Imagine LA tell their story. We created a set where mentors and mentees within the program depicted their heartbreaking stories through art. Their inspiring experiences came alive on the canvasses they painted on, allowing live action video and animation to intertwine.
The video resulted in Imagine LA raising over $240,000 in a single night at the fundraiser – more than ever before.
