In my first semester as a film student at Woodbury University, I discovered Rip Media Group was looking for a post-production video internship. Looking to increase my professional resume, I decided to apply, not knowing this would be one of the greatest experiences of my life. I’m extremely thankful I started with a small production company, and I learned a lot while working with creative individuals living a life that I want to live one day. This was the perfect starting point and introduction to my career as a film student. It allowed me to get hands-on experience in an environment I felt comfortable in.
The most important part of my internship was getting hands-on experience and actually working in a professional setting. I learned a lot, and my time with Rip Media Group opened my eyes to many new aspects of the real world that I could never experience in a classroom. I was able to grow as a student, a professional, and as an artist due to the overflowing creativity at the office. I felt comfort in the intimacy and connections working with such a tight knit team and I am extremely grateful I took this chance and got a sneak peak of how I hope my future turns out!
