The Best Video Productions From the Last Decade: And the Rippie Goes To…

What makes video productions great?

Video productions shouldn’t lean on cheap humor, flashy visuals, or other tricks. Instead, a great video needs to tell a great story. At Rip Media Group, that’s our specialty.

We have many satisfied customers, loads of fantastic video productions, and a great team in place. I want to celebrate that by going over my four favorite video productions of all time! Let’s look at what we’ll be creating together!

But first, a quick definition.

What Is a Video Production?

Video productions are the final, visual result of the production process. Every video you watch on TV, YouTube, or cable is video production. If a video is finalized and ready for watching, then it counts as a video production!

Okay, let’s get to the awards.  The envelope please.  The first Rippie for Best Video Production goes to…

Ben & Jerry's

Are we tooting our horns by putting a video by us first? Yes! Is that okay because it gives you a better idea of what we’re capable of? ABSOLUTELY!

We love this video that we made for Ben & Jerry’s several years ago. The rip-and-cut animation is styled in a completely new and unique way, and the voice acting is on brand and ultra-lively.

For that reason, Ben & Jerry’s company history video gets our first Rippie!

The next award goes to…

Google

Google has a history of delivering powerhouses of corporate video productions.

In this particular example, Google used animation to introduce “Project Sunroof.” Project sunroof promotes solar power in locations that can support solar arrays. Using their space tech, Google can determine the best spot for any solar panels you could want.

We love how this animated advertisement brought a dry science to life.

Our next Rippie goes to…

The Dollar Shave Club

We talk about this video frequently, and that’s because it’s legitimately amazing.

The Dollar Shave Club has mastered the art of humor in its video marketing.

This video production knocks Dollar Shave Club’s intro video out of the park. Honestly, this video summarizes every talking point Dollar Shave Club has in a friendly and rapid-fire way that kept us entertained through to the end.

And finally…

Chipotle

Chipotle, known for its burritos and high-quality ingredients, launched its animation “Back to the Start” nearly a decade ago to appeal to indulgent, health-conscious eaters.

This 3D animation showed farm animals eating unhealthily and expanding like balloons, visually illustrating how bad the food factory-farmed animals are with the power of video production.

This powerful visual metaphor allowed Chipotle to nearly corner the market of healthy fast-food options. Just think, when was the first time you heard about Chipotle? If you think back eight years, you’ll probably have your answer.

How Will Rip Media Make Your Next Video Productions?

Simply put, Rip Media does EVERYTHING!

After your free consultation with us, we help you write your story and determine what type of production would suit you best. Then, we start generating ideas and scripts, which lead to art/storyboards and ultimately animation (if that’s the way you choose).

From there, our award-winning producers add music, sound effects, voice-over and then finesse the mix to perfection. Best of all, you’re part of the process every step of the way! It’s truly a collaborative experience.

Finally, we deliver your video, which in turn serves as your online salesperson 24/7, 365 days a year. A video production that delivers your message to your clients in a way that both engages and compels! And if you don’t believe us, check out our amazing sizzle reel

Are we tooting our horns? Yes! Is that okay because it gives you a better idea of what we’re capable of? ABSOLUTELY!

Don’t just take our word for it though, watch our latest sizzle reel! To see exactly what we mean.

We deal in all forms of eye-popping video productions, too; we create live-action and animated videos – from whiteboard to 2D to 3D to kinetic typography and hybrids of all.
