When most people think of PTSD, they think of combat military Veterans – brave men and women who have served in our armed forces; but did you also know that PTSD affects nearly 8 million OTHER people – of all ages – per year? Men and women.
The National Center for PTSD is dedicated to raising awareness of PTSD for sufferers as well as for the general public. In conjunction with MUSA, they approached Rip Media Group about creating a video regarding evidence-based treatments as well as medications for PTSD.
- With the help of the National Center for PTSD, we compiled information on the treatments, including the risks and effects, and detailed and informative script.
- Since this video was one of a series of videos for MUSA about PTSD, we conformed to the video to our existing style of whiteboard animation.
- We then employed our expert team of artists and animators to create deeply stylized imagery, and to give it motion without trivializing the nature of the serious condition.
At Rip Media Group, we know that PTSD can occur after any kind of trauma – accidents, personal injury, a witness to disaster or violent crime, and physical or sexual assault. We are also well aware that PTSD can impact sufferers as well as those they love. But help is available. If you feel that you may be experiencing PTSD, please contact the National Center for PTSD today at http://ptsd.va.gov/
